While you can wax the film, be sure the product you are using doesn’t contain Naphtha or Kerosene in concentrations over 5%, and avoid waxes that contain dyes. For best results, we recommend using our XPEL Flawless Finish Paint Protection Film Sealant or XPEL Ceramic Boost. This product has been specially formulated for use with polyurethane paint protection films to provide the maximum protection and gloss, while containing no ingredients that would cause discoloration over time.

No, XPEL Paint protection film cannot be installed on your windshield. Due to the impact absorbency of paint protection film, the refractive index of the film is too different from that of the windshield. Because of this difference, putting the two together causes a distortion when looking through the glass that would be unacceptable to the vehicle’s occupants.

FAQ: Detailing

According to Auto Trader and NADA, choosing professional auto detailing services performed on your vehicle can increase its monetary value significantly. We realize it requires an extensive amount of time and energy to clean every nook and cranny of a vehicle, regularly scheduled maintenance is highly recommended as it further enhances its value.

In most cases, we need one week notice for an appointment. We do tend to get busier during the warmer months, so calling two weeks in advance is always helpful. We do offer  hassle-free pick up and delivery in the Red Wing area.

We ask that you remove all personal items from the inside of the vehicle, including the glove box, center console, and trunk if we are completing an interior or complete detail. We are not responsible for any item left in the vehicle, so for insurance reasons, please remove any item that you deem valuable and would like not thrown away.

Also, be sure to note any key trouble spots, both mechanically and cosmetically, to relay to our staff. This will help us gauge areas that you would like us to focus, or areas that we need to be careful servicing.

As a general rule, our exterior detail is primarily completed to add protection to the outside of the vehicle, whereas the paint restoration helps bring life back into your vehicle’s exterior. The paint restoration might be a good fit for you if you are looking to remove or reduce swirl marks or light-medium scratches.

The more often a vehicle is waxed, the better. Our recommendation is that if the wax is a Liquid Carnauba, than every 1-2 months is acceptable. If a Polymer Sealant is applied, than every 6 months is a good recommendation.

We reserve 8 hours for a complete detail appointment, however, this is partially dependent on the vehicle’s condition.

It’s never an exciting moment when you get out of the car and go “Where did this scratch come from?”, or when you hit something or someone hits you and you walk around to see the damage. There is a trick for this repair. If you take your finger nail and rub it across the scratch, and you do not notice a groove that catches it, you are likely dealing with a candidate for removal. Our exterior technicians will utilize a compound and buffing pad to carefully remove the scratch. Price will vary dependent upon the severity.

We are able to accept any version of credit card, check or cash on-the-spot. A copy of the receipt can be sent via e-mail, text message, or by postage.

We request payment be made upon pickup of the vehicle. We want to ensure that you are completely satisfied with the final product prior to payment. Also – because we perform a full inspection report with estimated cost for cosmetic repair, the payment at the end may be different due to the possibility for additional approved services.

We have been offering pickup and delivery service since we first opened. Any location within Red Wing are included when you purchase certain tiers of service. Locations outside of Red Wing may require an additional fee. We are very flexible with these types of appointments, so be sure to let us know what will work best for you and we will do our best to accommodate.
